The BM Series Battery Module with BMS Shelf, provides the complete solution in one low profile 2RU (3.5") plug-and-play reserve power sys- tem. No need for sourcing and installing separate batteries, battery trays, interconnect cable, terminals, lugs, etc. The BM/BMS System provides it all in one easy-to-assemble rackmount unit. The System comprises a rackmount Battery Shell that accommodates two 48 VDC, 24 VDC or 12 VDC Battery Modules. The shelf and modules are sold separately. The battery modules slide easily into the shelf and are secured in place with rear retaining pin and front panel latch. Plug-in connector assemblies provide for quick connection system load and/or paralleling multiple Battery Modules to meet higher run time requirements. The BM's internal batteries are sealed, maintenance-free, and easliy replaced when necessary. Battery life is typically 3-5 years (standby). The input/output connectors are keyed to prevent reverse polarity hook-ups. A battery on-line circuit breaker/switch protects against overload and enables selective individual module load testing without interrupting contiuity of the overall battery string. Mounting brackets provide with the battery shelf adapt for both 19" and 23" racks, 6" forward mount configuration. Flush (cabi- net) shelf mounting and "universal" mounting of individual modules are also available as installation options.
